In Amsterdam, the city’s Christmas tree will light up on Friday night, Nov. 24, starting at 4 p.m.

You can enjoy free horse drawn carriage rides, hot cider and coffee, hot chocolate and baked goods and caroling with Mohawk Valley Chorus.

The first 300 kids will receive a free winter jacket.

The official lighting and Santa’s arrival is set for 4:30 p.m.
