An investigation is under way after a man was killed in a Colonie crash.

The pedestrian was struck near Central Avenue and Mountain View Avenue around 6 p.m. Tuesday night, the Colonie Police Department said.

Officials said the driver couldn’t see the victim until after the crash already happened. This was because of the poor visibility from the rain and snow that hit the region.

The victim was also wearing dark clothing, not in a crosswalk or a stoplight, police said.
