Pittsfield Police investigate stabbing
Pittsfield Police are investigating a stabbing at a restaurant.
Officers responded to Thistle & Mirth at 44 West St. at about 9:40 p.m. for a report of a stabbing. When they arrived, they saw many patrons leaving the restaurant. They located evidence of a stabbing but did not find a victim, police said.
A short time later, a man arrived at Berkshire Medical Center with a stab wound, according to police. He is expected to survive.
Police believe that this was not a random act and there is no threat to the public.
