On Giving Tuesday, the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area learned that it is getting a big matching gift.

Grasshopper Heating and Cooling is teaming up with Bruce Tanski Construction and Development to match donations from now until the end of the year up to $40,000.

About 45 volunteers from Grasshopper Heating and Cooling were at the Boys and Girls Club on Tuesday playing basketball with the kids and doing arts and crafts.

“It’s one thing for a company to donate money and raise funds and learn about organizations in the community,” said Grasshopper CEO Amanda Triolo. “It’s another thing for your team to actually be able to tangibly feel and experience what that organization does day in and day out, and they’re having the time of their lives.”
