Skidmore College is supporting local nonprofits through its Skidmore Cares program.

The college has been involved in several charitable events. Earlier this year, Skidmore students, faculty and staff donated 3,400 food items and 1,700 school supplies and personal care items for Saratoga County organizations. They also collected canned goods during the Pack the Rink hockey game.

The organization is important because it brings together the college and its connection to Saratoga Springs, according to Skidmore’s president.
