Police: Delmar burglar caught red-handed
A 54-year-old Albany man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly breaking into a Delmar business.
Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at Shannon Chiropractic Wellness located at 397 Kenwood Ave.
When officers arrived at the location, they found Lawrence Femminella. An investigation determined that Femminella had forced entry into the building.
Femminella was charged with felony counts of burglary and criminal mischief and misdemeanors of petit larceny, criminal possession of burglar tools, criminal contempt and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court and sent to Albany County Jail without bail. He is due back in court on Dec. 12 at 5 p.m.
Femminella is under the supervision of New York State Parole. He has multiple convictions for burglary and criminal possession of stolen property. His most recent conviction was in 2021 in Albany County Court, according to the New York State inmate database.
