Police: Glens Falls man had psychedelic mushrooms for sale in store

A Glens Falls man was arrested for allegedly having psychedelic mushrooms for sale in a Queensbury store.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office assisted the state Department of Taxation and Finance with an audit on Nov. 21 at Smoke N Save at 894 State Route 9 in Queensbury. During the audit, agents found numerous packages of psilocybin mushrooms and psilocybin chocolate bars in the store available for sale, police said.

Police on Dec. 5 arrested Austin R. Lee, 23, and charged him with one felony count and one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned in Warren Count Centralized Arraignment Court and released to appear in Queensbury Town Court at a later date.
