Nearly 7,900 hats were sent to cancer centers across the country as part of the local “Hatsgiving” campaign.

They will be given to children at 92 cancer centers to help keep their heads warm as they undergo treatment.

The organization was founded in 2012 by Latham native Jeremy Wernick when he was just 8 years old.
