Police: Vermont man drove impaired, caused crash
A Bennington County man is facing charges after a crash.
Vermont State Police received a report of an accident in the town of Arlington near Route 313 and Route 7A. The caller reported that the driver of the other vehicle left the scene and continued home.
Troopers later found the driver, Anthony Defarlo, 65, of Arlington. They observed several signs of impairment and arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
Defarlo was taken to the Shaftsbury Barracks and released on a citation. He is due in Bennington County Superior Court on Jan. 8.
