Victory Church and the Albany County District Attorney’s Office are kicking off the annual Gifts for Guns program.

People can turn in non-registered handguns for Visa gift cards.

The program started 10 years ago and has been successful, collecting 20 to 50 guns every year.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Victory Church on Quail Street in Albany.
