It was a proud day for the 213th session of the State Police Basic School.

A graduation ceremony was held Thursday at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center.

There were 4,400 applicants, and 232 were selected to take this session.

The graduating class included more than 20 veterans who served in wars and 46 officers who served in other police agencies.
