Starting today, officials in Warren County are offering to take senior citizens around for free.

It is part of a new partnership between the County Office for the Aging and the Warren County Veterans’ Service.

The program will provide vans that can take anyone older than 60 to go grocery shopping, visit pharmacies or any other essential errands.

Rides are also available to all military veterans.

A private company had been providing a similar service for years, but it shut down at the end of last year.
