A man was sentenced to 17 years in prison Tuesday for two 2019 armed bank robberies.
Ulysses Jessie Walls, 30, admitted last August that he robbed a Trustco Bank in Albany and an M&T Bank in North Greenbush in 2019.
Around $150,000 was stolen in the Trustco robbery and more than $10,000 in cash was stolen from M&T Bank.
A co-defendant, Christopher Cohn, was sentenced to just over 20 years in prison, back in 2020.
The men were caught after an M&T Bank employee put a GPS tracking device in a bag with the money.
Walls also faces post-release supervision, and must pay back the money.
