Niskayuna man nominated to lead New York State Police
Capital Region resident nominated to lead State Police
A Niskayuna man has been nominated to serve as superintendent of New York State Police.
Steven James is a former major of Troop G. He retired from the State Police in 2020 after more than 32 years with the agency. He was in a leadership role for more than 20 of those years.
He most recently served as Deputy Superintendent for Employee Relations.
