Saratoga County offering free lifeguard training for teens

Saratoga County is hoping to combat the ongoing lifeguard shortage by offering free training.

The County Department of Aging and Youth Services has sponsorships available for teenagers, 15 to 17 years old, who would like to become lifeguards.

The sponsorships will allow them to take the American Red Cross lifeguard training this spring. 

If you’re interested, you must do a prerequisite swim at the YMCA.

Applications are due March 1.
