Nothing wrong with ‘comfort food’ TV
'Comfort shows' can provide distraction
Do you have a favorite TV show you tend to watch over and over again?
A psychologist with the Cleveland Clinic said there is nothing wrong with having a comfort show. They can be used as a positive distraction.
“Often with comfort shows, they’re people that we can resonate with,” Dr. Chivonna Childs. “They’re stories we resonate with, or they’re stories we wish we could resonate with. They give us a break from the normal things that are going on in life right now.”
The doctor adds that comfort shows can come in all different genres.
