Police: Venezuelan man had fake license plate in Albany

A Venezuelan man is accused of possessing a fake license plate.

Gregory A. Galaratti, 30, was stopped by Albany County Sheriff’s Deputies on Watervliet Avenue, just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Galaratti illegally purchased the fake temporary license plates and attached them to his vehicle, police said.

Galaratti was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument. He was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Albany City Criminal Court.
