A Cairo man is accused of illegally manufacturing firearms.

Police searched a residence on Main Street just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Officers recovered an AR-15 assault rifle with a 3D printed lower receiver, a high-capacity magazine, numerous 3D printed frames for an AR-style rifle. They also found a 3D printer frame for a handgun, numerous magazines, ammunition, suppressor attachments and template blocks for handguns and rifles.

Ian J. Lynch, 33, was charged with eight weapons counts. He was arraigned in Cairo Town Court and sent to Greene County Jail without bail.
