Woman shares story of getting pregnant at 15, going on to earn college degrees

Markeia Robinson got pregnant at 15 and dropped out of school. The local woman bounced around a series of dead-end jobs in retail and fast food.

At the age of 30, she had a revelation and wanted to do something more with her life. She got her GED and went on to earn three college degrees.

She was inspired to write about her journey in the book “The Non-Traditional Route from GED to Ph.D.”
