UAlbany Weather Balloon Team launching for the total eclipse
We are one day away from a total solar eclipse and while the immediate Capital Region won’t see full totality, people are still in for a show.
Researchers across the country will launch weather balloons into the atmosphere, including students at UAlbany.
The balloon team comprised of several UAlbany Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences (DAES) students, known as the “Turbulent Eddies,” will be launching a sequence of weather balloons as part of a nationwide research project to gather weather data during the eclipse.
Reid Kisselback has a preview of what we can expect Monday morning.
