New York has slight increase in Covid-19 numbers
The Governor announced a slight increase in the State’s positivity rate.
The statewide 7-day positivity rate has climbed to 0.54%
Of 67,237 total tests given yesterday, 421 were positive. Percent positive is 0.63%.
There are 342 patients in the hospital, with 85 in the ICU. That is an increase of 6 since yesterday.
39 patients with Intubation, an increase of 1.
Sadly, there are 4 new Covid-19 deaths to report, for a current total of 42,984 deaths, to date.
"New Yorkers are making critical progress in the fight against COVID-19, but we need to continue getting shots in arms to defeat this beast for good," Governor Cuomo said. "We’re offering exciting incentives for those who haven’t yet received the shot and continue to make doses available at sites across the state. Today is the day to get your shot—getting vaccinated helps your family, friends and community, so don’t delay."
