Albany man arrested on drug charges
An Albany man is facing drug charges.
Darnell D. Bell, 51, was arrested after Albany County Sheriff’s deputies interviewed him in the area of Partridge Street and Kent Street, police said. Bell allegedly provided false identification so police would not discover he had an active bench warrant for narcotics sales. He also had cocaine in his possession, police said.
Bell was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, bail jumping, false personation and appearance in public under the influence of alcohol.
He was sent to Albany County Jail pending arraignment.
