A man on trial for murder in Albany County Court was expected to take the stand Friday and testify in his own defense.
Final witnesses were called Thursday in the trial against Paul Barbaritano, which included more local police officers taking the stand. Seven witnesses have been called so far.
The 55-year-old man is expected to take the stand before the case heads to the jury. He’s accused of killing 29-year-old Nicole Jennings in his apartment, back in July 2019.
Police say Jennings was found stabbed and strangled. Barbaritano has said it was an accident.
