Police: Clifton Park man used victim’s bank card to steal more than $10,000

A Clifton Park man is accused of stealing more than $10,000 from a Saratoga County resident’s bank account.

Anthony J. Cafararo Jr., 58, had access to a bank card to obtain groceries for the victim, State Police said. Cafararo allegedly withdrew the money at multiple ATMs without notifying the victim or having permission, police said. The money was not returned to the victim. The matter was reported to police in December.

Cafararo was charged with two counts of grand larceny and misdemeanor petit larceny. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in multiple courts on later dates.
