A $9.3 million project is now underway to preserve bridges in Greene County.
The project focuses on preserving the Kaaterskill Creek and Catskill Creek bridges on the Northway.
The bridges were built in 1955, and more than 33,000 motorists travel across them every day.
All traffic will be shifted to the northbound bridges first, then to the southbound side next year.
The project is expected to be complete in the summer of 2025.
