A West Lake woman is in the fight of her life, and this weekend, the community came together to show their support.

The Averill Park Fire House hosted a breast cancer awareness fundraiser for Dawn Wilkes.

She is a mother of two and currently battling breast cancer.

This benefit was to help raise money to help cover her hospital bills.

Dozens of people came out for a spaghetti and meatball dinner.

Dawn and her friend who helped organize the fundraiser say they are grateful for everyone’s support.
