Hudson man gets up to 4 years in prison for attacking trooper
A Hudson man has been sentenced to up to 4 years in prison for trying to strangle a state trooper in Greene County.
Frank Baglieri, 42, was arrested on Feb. 14, 2023, after police responded to a report of a potential hammer attack on Harold C. Meyer Road. Baglieri left before police arrived. However, a trooper spotted him down the road a short time later. Then, Baglieri tried to take his gun and strangle him, police said.
The trooper was helped by a passing motorist and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Bagleri had pleaded guilty to attempted assault and driving while ability impaired by drugs. He was sentenced on April 9 to 1 1/3 years to 4 years in prison.
