Greene County woman accused of trying to decapitate dog with sword

CAIRO – A Greene County woman is charged in a very disturbing case of animal cruelty. Investigators say Pauline Waldron tried to decapitate her dog with a sword.
They say she also stabbed the dog several times, and then allowed it to suffer for about eight hours.
The dog needed emergency surgery.
Five more dogs were seized from the home.
Waldron is now free on her own recognizance.
