Hochul announces big Arbor Day grants for tree planting
To celebrate Arbor Day, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced $2.4 million in grants being awarded to 32 urban forestry projects throughout New York.
To celebrate Arbor Day, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced $2.4 million in grants being awarded to 32 urban forestry projects throughout New York.
These grants are for the state to plant more trees.
The city of Albany will be getting $75,000 for tree planting.
The city of Schenectady will be getting $100,000 for tree maintenance.
The city of Saratoga Springs will received $75,000, the village of Ballston Spa will receive $41,360 and the village of Round Lake will receive $73,882. That money will go towards tree planting and maintenance.
