Police: Troy man sold vehicle he didn’t own for $30,000

A Troy man is accused of selling a vehicle that wasn’t his to a dealership.

State Police received a complaint from the dealership last month about a vehicle they bought that was reported stolen from New York City in December. The investigation found that Mousse Saiid, 42, allegedly, provided a fraudulent title to sell the dealership the vehicle for $30,000 in March.

Saiid was representing B&J Auto Sales in Rensselaer. Police said that the vehicle identification number was altered and the title forged.

Saiid was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and possession of a forged instrument. He was arraigned at Malta Town Court and released on his own recognizance.
