Suspect in Albany man’s killing pleads guilty

The suspect accused of killing a 32-year-old man in Albany last November pleaded guilty on Friday.

Dario Lewis, 32, admitted in Albany County Court to shooting Elijah Thompson in the chest. The incident took place in the area of Judson Street and First Street on Nov. 11 at around 3 a.m. Thompson died at Albany Medical Center.

Lewis was arrested on Nov. 20.
Lewis will receive 25 years in prison and 5 years of post-release supervision when sentenced on July 15.
