‘Blue Jean Mile’ to raise money for mental health
The Blue Jean mile is set for May 16 and will help raise funds for mental health awareness.
While running in a pair of jeans doesn’t sound like a great idea, people will be doing exactly that for a great cause in Galway.
The Blue Jean Mile was created in 2021 to support people battling with mental health issues and to highlight programs designed to help them.
High school senior Seamus Evans is organizing this year’s run both in person and virtually on May 16. Registration costs $5 for students and $10 for adults. All of the money raised will be donated to the National Alliance of Mental Health Illness and Ainsley Angels of America.
