An Albany business that’s been a fabric of the community is now part of the New York State Historic Business Registry.

National Upholstery Design Studio on Lark Street was inducted last week. It has served the local community for more than 80 years.

The shop sells fine fabrics, along with custom upholstery and window treatments.

The business also sells antiques and original art created by local and regional artists.
