Washington County man faces weapons charges

A Washington County man is accused of having illegal weapons.

Eric Roewer, 62, of White Creek, allegedly had assault weapons and large capacity magazines, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

Roewer was banned from having any firearms.

He was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in Washington County Centralized Arraignment Court and released pending future court appearances.

His arrest came after an investigation into an unspecified incident, police said, and more charges are possible.
