Flu no longer prevalent in New York state

The state Department of Health said Wednesday the flu is no longer prevalent in New York.

Now the state says unvaccinated health care workers no longer need to wear masks in hospitals, nursing homes, and adult care facilities.

New York State Health Commissioner Dr. James McDonald still recommends people to take appropriate precautions, such as staying home from work or school if you are sick to prevent spreading illness.
