Traditional street scrubbing kicks off Albany’s Tulip Fest

Preparations for the Tulip Festival in Albany are underway.
The annual street scrubbing ceremony took place Friday morning. It has has served as the official kickoff to Tulip Fest weekend for 76 years.
There are several events Saturday and Sunday, along with road closures in the area.
