Albany FBI leader: Violent crime, juvenile delinquency among issues
FBI special agent talks drugs, juvenile delinquency as contributor to crime.
The man in charge of the FBI field office in Albany is sharing some of the issues he sees in the Capital Region after being on the job for about six months.
Craig Tremaroli was named as special agent in charge in October. He served as section chief in the counterterrorism division at FBI headquarters before that.
NewsChannel 13 asked him what he sees as some of the biggest problems in the region.
“We’re seeing drivers of that violent crime problem, the juvenile delinquency rate, seeing younger children in violent criminal incidents,” he said.
He also said that drugs and illicit narcotics are a huge issue.
Mental health is also a contributor to violent crime.
