Police: Kinderhook homeowner saw burglary suspect on security cameras

Home security cameras helped police quickly catch a burglar in Kinderhook.

A homeowner saw Jason Pelas, 39, on security cameras as he entered the home Tuesday and stole valuables, police said.

Pelas was caught in nearby woods.

He was charged with felony burglary and criminal mischief and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on June 3.
