Rotterdam gas theft case leads to weapons charges for teen
An investigation into gas thefts in Rotterdam lead to a weapons charge for a 17-year-old suspect.
A Rotterdam Police officer pulled over a vehicle on May 23 at around 2:30 p.m. The vehicle matched the description and license plate of one that had been used to pump gas and leave without paying on several occasions. While interviewing the people inside, police found a loaded handgun with a 30-round magazine on the rear passenger seat.
The juvenile, whose name is not being released because of his age, is facing charges in Schenectady County Family Court.
