Kaylin Gillis’ father, Andrew Gillis, has a strong response after news that the man convicted of shooting and killing his daughter might be telling his story to the producers of an A&E show. It’s a story you heard First on 13.

Gillis was killed by Kevin Monahan when he fired a shotgun from his porch into the car she was in with her boyfriend and friends back on April 15, 2023.

The producers of the show call “Accused: Guilty or Innocent” are seeking to interview Monahan for an episode.

Gillis’ father Andrew wrote to the network, telling them it would be in extremely poor taste to conduct and air an interview.

“This man should not have a chance to speak. He refused to even apologize for the murder of our daughter and if your network does this, it is a slap in the face to our family, and disrespects Kaylin,” he said.

Gillis is asking others to also write to the network, in protest.
