Ride for Missing Children holding orientation for interested participants

The first orientation ride for the Ride for Missing Children is June 1.

The annual Ride for Missing Children is about four months away. That’s the 100-mile bike ride to raise awareness about missing children’s cases, and funds to help search for them.

This year is 20 years since Craig Frear disappeared in Scotia. He was 17 years old.

His family is now a major part of putting this ride on each year.

The very first orientation ride is this Saturday, June 1. It starts at the Zim Smith Trailhead in Mechanicville.

Riders gather starting at 7:30 a.m.

Anyone is invited to attend and try out riding with the group.

This year’s ride for Missing Children is September 20.
