A red fox that had bitten three Amsterdam residents has been captured.

Montgomery County on Wednesday had warned residents of a fox that had been running loose in the area of Kopernick Boulevard, Church Street and Van Derveer Street.

The fox will be sent out for testing to determine if it was rabid and anyone who came in contact needs further treatment, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
