Troy man gets one year in jail on weapons charge

A Troy man was sentenced Thursday to one year in jail on a weapons charge.

Michael A. Rouse, 25, was arrested in April 2023 after he and another man tried to run from police after a car crash.

Rouse was a passenger in the vehicle. He was found near where they crashed.

Police found two fully loaded handguns and drugs.

Rouse pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court in March to criminal possession of a firearm.
