Albany man accused of having illegal gun
An Albany man is facing charges for allegedly carrying an illegal handgun. El Jahad L. Vickers was stopped in the area of Central Avenue and Colby Street on Sunday evening, investigators said.

El Jahad L. Vickers, 25, was stopped in the area of Central Avenue and Colby Street on Sunday evening, investigators said. That’s near Blessed Sacrament Church.
That’s where they found a loaded .380 caliber semi-automatic firearm, which Vickers had no legal right to possess, investigators said.
Vickers was also found to have an arrest warrant for strangulation.
He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
