Schenectady Police have identified a woman killed in a Wednesday evening shooting.
They say Ericka Brown, 30, was shot in the head at 11 Charles Street around 8:20 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police think a second victim, a man in his 40s, shot himself in the head, they said. He’s now in critical condition, and is currently being detained. He knew the victim, police said.
Neighbors told NewsChannel 13 that they heard a dispute coming from the house and then two loud booms which they said sounded like gun shots.
Five kids in the home were not harmed. Police told NewsChannel 13 three of those children were Brown’s.
