Free shuttle to help hikers on Route 73 in the Adirondacks

As more hikers travel to the Adirondacks this fall, they will have to take a shuttle to get to some trails along busy Route 73.
The traffic and parking on the highway has long been a problem in Keene Valley.
DEC and Essex County say shuttle service from Marcy Field to the trailheads along Route 73 will begin August 21.
The free shuttle will run weekends and holidays, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Columbus Day.
