Saratoga Springs man pleads guilty to federal weapons charges

A 41-year-old Liberian citizen living in Saratoga Springs pleaded guilty Thursday to federal weapons charges.

Mana Sambola, aka “Coffee,” admitted in U.S. District Court to illegally possessing a Glock pistol and an assault rifle and four boxes of ammunition, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. Sambola is a convicted felon and is prohibiting from owning firearms and ammunition.

He was arrested after police searched his apartment in May 2023.

Sambola faces a maximum term of 15 years in prison and fine of up to $250,000 when sentenced.
