A-Village Night Market continues Friday
The A-Village Night Market continues Friday.
It is the second night market of the season. From June until October, A-Village Inc. is hosting events for the family – hoping to connect people to resources and valuable information.
The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Arbor Hill Sports Complex.
A-Village Executive Director Eva Bass tells NewsChannel 13 that the night market has been happening in the city of Albany for the past 10 years.
“We’re a grassroots organization, so it looks like a community barbecue. You see hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill. You see different vendors. We have youth activities, we have gaming tables. We do Uno, Jenga, different things like that have for the kids to play. We have different activities,” she said. “But most importantly, we have community resources who come together um to make sure we’re connecting community to tangible resources.”
The organization is interested in volunteers. Anyone who is interested is asked to send an email to executive@avillage.org
