Bennington man charged with DUI following car crash

Vermont State Police tell us that 39-year-old Matthew Pleasant of Bennington has been charged following a motor vehicle crash in Searsburg, Vermont Sunday morning.
Police responded to the scene of the motor vehicle crash around 6:40 a.m., which upon arrival, discovered Pleasant to be the operator of the vehicle.
Following investigation, Pleasant was charged with a DUI and gross negligent operation and duty to stop, said police.
Authorities say he was issued a citation to appear before the Bennington County Superior Court Criminal Division on September 9.
