Police in Schoharie County search for Level 3 sex offender wanted on multiple warrants

The Schoharie County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help tracking down a Level 3 sex offender.

Vito Cerbone, 42, is wanted on multiple warrants for crimes including failure to notify of an address change as a level 3 sex offender. Additionally, Cerbone is wanted on nine counts for petit larceny for a series of gas drive-offs from Stewart’s Shops around the county.

Level 3 is classified as the highest risk to reoffend.
